It is good to know different sides to a person. John Wayne loved his family, friends and America. In Wayne's own words you see who he was. He was funny, patriotic, and opinionated. He did not take himself seriously-he took his life seriously. Carol Lea Muller has done a good job of showing many side of John Wayne throught his own words.
My dad is a John Wayne fan and enjoyed reading this book. I personally have not read it.

The Quoteable John Wayne is a good collection of quotes and sayings taken from several sources and provides interesting reading for those unfamiliar with John Wayne. Although I thought the book could have been longer it was still a good read and had some interesting material.
